Clark told Mom, Dad and me (Rebecca was on the slide) about his journey with his mother cross country, being about my age. He told of a land of cars sticking up out of the ground (Northern Texas) and a garden of botanicalness. He also was an actor (a dream of mine), a singer in the choir, was in a Kodak commercial and met Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. He remembered that Pitt was modest and kind. Very interesting if I ever meet them.
He gave us some very cool tips and I found out he was a current teacher, and of course, a lifeguard. He was funny too!
I won't ever forget Clark as he informed us of places to go, shared funny stories, told of his acting/singing career, and told me to write about him in the "book" aka the blog. So, if Clark is reading this right now, I hope you got your wish. It was nice to meet you, Clark. I hope to see you again.
Clark is a cool dude. He sang (with the American Boychoir) for Bill Clinton's inauguration. He also toured Graceland on that trip, and that was a sight indeed. I bet he enjoyed meeting you! You must return to Bethpage sometime.

ReplyDeleteI am enjoying reading your blog so keep it coming. I was a history major in college so hearing about Gettysburg is pretty cool. I went to that reenactment years ago and though it was the coolest thing ever.
I did want to make some editors corrections to your awesome story about me. I am proud to be the only individual you have written about yet.
First, I was just singing in the background in the movie. I never can be seen in the movie.
As for key places to go on your trip, I suggest Mesa Verde, Graceland, 4 corners. Lookout Mountain (more for the whole painting of barn roofs sake then anything), crazy horse mountain, the hills of Montana, and the San Diego Zoo (nothing will ever compare).
Have a great trip, enjoy what i believe will be Maine next then maybe Niagara Falls.
