Chicago!!!! The Windy City! Part 2

Back on the pier, Dad said we were going on the Ferris wheel.:(

I was frightened by the words; I am afraid of heights and roller coasters. But, Dad said, we would never get this opportunity again to see Chicago from that height, and, he said, Ferris wheels are slow. Very slow. It was my first time on the Ferris wheel, and I was very scared.

I went to the restroom, very uneasy, but I tried not to show it. When I returned, Dad already had tickets and we were already in line. It's just a ride. I kept telling myself. You'll be alright. When it was our turn, a man opened one of the gonadal doors up and we went in to the tiny booth. As it went up on the ramp I just barely got on and I then sat down on a seat. So far, it wasn't too scary, and I tried to comfort myself by talking about other things. It was very beautiful to the right with all the buildings below you and the water was nice. That was my view behind me. In front, I saw the lake, with it's water shining in the sun. Right was the lake, and left, was more roller coaster rides. It was a fantastic view with the people looking like ants, and us looking down as if we're in an airplane. As we kept going up and around the wheel, I was no longer scared. I was enjoying the view in the tiny booth with my family. We said stuff like, "Look at that!" and, "Wow, isn't that cool!" It was a wonderful experience, and I'm glad I did it.

We then got ready to go and slid off in the other direction. We got off the pier, and then went into the parking garage. We rode away, and then we ate dinner at Subway. I then slept with the bed in that night.

My hat came off on the windy city,
Andrew.
