On the road again

Early in the morning, Dad and Mom took the dogs out, and then Dad and I rode off in the jeep in search of a pasty shop. We weren't on the road for more than four or five minutes before Mom called Dad and said Rebecca wanted to come. Circling back, we picked up Rebecca and then rode off again. We talked a lot and had a lot of fun conversations about hobos, snowmobile crossings, and Munising. By the water, in a flat, big building called Mouldon's Pasties, we tried to get some. But, it was closed, only open at 9 (it was 8). So, we went into town, and ate breakfast at a diner called Sydney's. We had great buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs, rich, crispy bacon, and some milk to make it come down. It was great.

After we ate, we got Mom something to go. Then, we went back, and Mom ate. Rebecca and I rode a little. Then, we went to get our National Park Stamp, (for Pictured Rocks) and then went back to the pasty shop. There we got apple, beef, chicken, and regular pasties. They are surprisingly very good, having a kind of bread and pie taste with potatoes and veggies and the ingredient (apple, or beef, or or chicken) in. They're really good.

Then, we got cleaned up and drove out, and had a good two hour drive farther into the U.P., more down into closer to Wisconsin. We parked at a little boring park, and saw a train go by. It was cool. We then rode around, saw a cool sculpture yard, and ate dinner at a little place. Then, at 9:23, I went to sleep with my bed out. Today, I woke up early at 7:04, took a shower, got on my clothes, blogged a little, and then got my bed in. We got ready, pulled out, and now I speak to you on the highway, in the front seat of the R.V. It is 1:38, on October the 4th. By the time Mom checks this though it will be a little later. We are actually as I speak in a different time zone, in Central Time, so it is 12:38. It's so weird to be in a different time zone. So, if it's 10 for you guys, it's 9 for me. Don't wake me up at 5 - which for you will be 6.

Ahh, tracker with silver disks that come down horizontally and cut off stuff. Scary! Wait, is that a dead porcupine? Revolting. You know, guys, you never really know what you'll see on the road. Sometimes I've seen furniture, sometimes clothes, sometimes even deer. Also, you have the open air (with exhaust fumes), the mosquito guts on the windshield, and the bumping and shaking of the motor home! Living Life Large! -

Andrew.
