EAA'S AirVenture Museum

Do you ever have those moments? Those moments of extreme tranquility and peace, where you just want to sit back and relax? Well, those moments are usually cut short. When I want to just kick back, it's "Come on, Andrew!" Dang!

In this case, I would later be glad I was pulled away.

"We're going to the local airplane museum!" Dad said to me as I gathered up my stuff and got into the jeep. Although I was mad we were leaving, I still thought the best thing to go for would be an aviation museum. I was excited to go.

20 or so minutes later we were in the parking lot of a big building with metal shingle plating. It had three floors, and was pretty flat. We walked in to see a little blue and yellow war plane with a propeller. We got tickets, and started going in the museum on the balcony above all the planes. We saw the Wright Flyer at Kitty Hawk (replica) and the Spirit of the St. Louis (replica). We also saw some medals and pins, and saw little thin unmanned planes that looked cool, with sharp tilted edges and white paintings.

We also later went into a kids section, where I went into a pilots cockpit and also got into a glider simulator. It was also really fun. It was a good escape from all that going in a car and seeing pretty things stuff. It made me be happy and it was a lot of fun. I hope to go to more museums soon.

Goodbye for now!

ESPN,
Andrew.
