"I will turn your mourning into gladness;
I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.
I will satisfy the priests with abundance,
and my people will be filled with my bounty,"
declares the Lord.
Even in times of sorrow, such as Sept. 11, 2001, God is there, being our place of refuge. Families with losses come to God for help, and he gives it to them. If you lost a family member, friend, or acquaintance on that terrible day, God will help you.
It is terribly sad that all those people died that day, innocent people in the twin towers, brave and wonderful first responders, and courageous people in flight 93 who overtook the hijacked plane. It is hard to imagine that one person takes pride in the killing of innocent lives, the crashing of planes, and the destruction of buildings. It makes me sick.
I'm not one to take joy in one's death, (Bin Laden) but it was a relief that he could not do any more damage.The navy seals that made the mission successful are forever in my debt. ALL people who risked their lives to saves others that day, and in any other day, are in my debt. However, Al Qaeda is scattered, but let us not be too confident.
Well, today is Sept, 11, 2011, ten years later. The family and I have been watching MS NBC, seeing all the memorials and ceremonies. Take care, and please be safe.
