Quine Remedy

I named the title of the blog post Quine Remedy because I feel the need to make all of the letters have each one blog post title that they start with. For instance A has An account of a day, and others. B has Broadway. C has some too. So does D. Q, however, does not. Neither P nor F nor H nor Z nor X nor V do. Anyway, along with the blog post.

Yesterday (when Mom posts it it might be tomorrow), which I now count as the 13th of August, a Saturday, we walked the dogs (Mom and I) and among other things we did laundry, and Dad and Rebecca played cards.

In the morning, Dad, Rebecca and I went to the Trenton Fire Station, and had blueberry pancakes. It was a fundraiser. We also got a tour of the fire station, seeing their trucks, eating areas and meeting and training rooms. Since these were VOLUNTEER firefighters, there was no barracks. The lady there explained that the firefighters have walkie talkies and that if they get a call, they all go to the fire station and suit up. She said all firefighters were professional, and there was a difference between volunteer and ones that slept there. It made since.

We stayed around, biking, and going to the camp store. I also phoned my friend Henry that day. We had a good talk and I can't believe that he and I are starting school Monday. I'm road schooling and he in public school. It was sad for me to know that I will not be going to CMS, and I will not be there with him, but I think about the cool things that I was doing now.

We also wrote some postcards and boxed up some things to ship home.

At 3:30 to 4, my grandparents' friends, the Moxleys, came over. The Moxleys have rented a house here in Bar Harbor, and they wanted to say hi. They stayed for about 45 minutes, and it was a lot of fun.

We later found the post office, and found out it was closed, and opened in the morn'.

We also had dinner that night at a restaurant called The Mex, as in Mexican Food. I wouldn't even call it Mexican food. I would call it canned food. It was the most disgusting, weird, and worst food I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Whoever heard of fried quecisdia? It also had a very stuffy environment, and was WAY overrated! It cost us $80 or more for soft nachos, hard mac n' cheese, and strange tasting enchiladas (plus the quesadia). If you ever see a restaurant called The Mex, avoid it! You lose money for bad Mexican food!

Beware of The Mex!,
Andrew.
